Bifocals or Varifocals
There is a wide variety of spectacle lenses depending on your prescription. Should you require spectacles for both reading and distance, then you are have the option of bifocal or varifocal lenses. Bifocals have two distinct areas, the top for distance and bottom for near, separated by a visible line. Varifocal lenses do not have any line and are blended, meaning there is a varying reading area which gives you vision for distances.

Hard Coating- reduces normal scratches.
MAR Coating- reduces reflections at night time and helps with visual display units (eg computer monitors).
Blue Light Coating : this coating helps with visual stress caused by VDU and LED lights indoors and whilst driving.
Transition Lenses- react to UV light and go darker in sunlight keeping the light constant to your eyes.
Polarised Lenses- reduce reflections from water and other reflective surfaces.
