After the eye test you will passed onto one of the Optical Receptionist who will help you to choose the right frame from our very wide range of over 1000; prices starting from £25 complete with single vision lenses.
Bifocals or Varifocals
There is a wide variety of spectacle lenses depending on your prescription. Should you require spectacles for both reading and distance, then you are have the option of bifocal or varifocal lenses. Bifocals have two distinct areas, the top for distance and bottom for near separated by a visible line. Varifocal lenses do not have any line and are blended, meaning there is a varying reading area which gives you vision for distances.
Types of lenses
Hard Coating- reduces normal scratches
MAR Coating- reduce reflections at night time and helps with visual display units (eg computer monitors)
Transition Lenses- react to UV light and go darker in sunlight keeping the light constant to your eyes
Polarised Lenses- reduce reflections from water and other reflective surfaces
